RED DAY!
*What would you do with $100 cash!? That's the first place prize for Sanford's Got Talent 2024!!! Can you do back flips (without falling on your face?) -- magic tricks? Play an instrument? Do you write poetry? We want to see ALL the talents! Audition sign-ups are now open. Find a sign up form in the office, library or hanging on the hall in the STEM/ART hallway. Return the forms to Mrs. Houle ASAP in room 1232.
*Todays 6th grade band lessons will be as follows: Block 3 - Percussion with lunch at 10:40, Block 4 -Low winds.
*6th grade honor festival has a rehearsal after school today 2:20-3:30.
*There will be no 5th grade chorus this morning, as Ms. Spag is out today.
*7th grade band, no block 2 lessons today - block three will be percussion lessons and block 5 will be low reeds - just follow the January Calendar!
*Civil Rights team meets today in the upstairs music room after school until 3:15 - bring a friend!!!
*The winter art contest is underway. Student leadership is currently accepting winter drawings and paintings. There will be one grand prize of a $10 Amazon gift card for each grade level as well as a staff prize! Let your hidden talents come out and play. Turn artwork into Mrs. Brown in room 2217 no later than February 2nd.
*This week is The Great Kindness Challenge week. Get ready to get those random acts of kindness checklists completed so your class can be a grade level winner. If your class wins, then the entire class will get a special prize for being so KIND. We also have a fun spirit week to show our kindness. Spirit week days for next week are:
Thursday: Peace, love, and Kindness - Wear your favorite tie dye and/or hippie outfit and show some kindness
Friday: Hats off to Kindness - Hat day!!! Let's tip our hats to kindness
