RED DAY!
*Quarter 2 grades close for students today! The grading window is open and remain open until the Monday morning.
*Audition sign-ups for Sanford's Got Talent 2024 begin on Jan 24th! Can you sing, dance, do magic tricks, are you incredible with a hula hoop or have some other amazing talent? We want to see it!! Auditions will be limited to 20 acts so it will be first come first serve. First ones to get their forms in will get those audition spots. Auditions will be held Feb 12th & 15th!
*NO 8th grade band today as Ms. Scarano is out.
*Today is a 6th Grade Chorus day. It is also a Chorus day for 7th grade students who are in band. We will meet in the upstairs music room following announcements.
*To all band and chorus students - there is only one week left to sell your raffle calendars. Please give your slips and money to your band or chorus teacher.
*Today is a 5th grade chorus day. Band students in Ms. Joy’s and Ms. Wyman’s homerooms will go to band this morning! All other choral members, bring any money from selling calendars, and see you in the cafe!
*Student leadership will meet on Monday in room 2217 until 3:15. New members are welcome!
*The winter art contest is underway. Student leadership is currently accepting winter drawings and paintings. There will be one grand prize of a $10 Amazon gift card for each grade level as well as a staff prize! Let your hidden talents come out and play. Turn artwork into Mrs. Brown in room 2217 no later than February 2nd.
*Vocal rehearsal for Annie Jr will be held in Mr. Bellefeuille’s Room after school until 3:30. REMINDER: Cast should check our Google Classroom to verify if they should attend. Also, there is NO late bus on Fridays; you need to have your transportation at 3:30 settled BEFORE you attend.
*Next week is The Great Kindness Challenge week. Get ready to get those random acts of kindness checklists completed so your class can be a grade level winner. If your class wins, then the entire class will get a special prize for being so KIND.
We also have a fun spirit week to show our kindness. Spirit week days for next week are:
Monday: We are powered by Kindness - Dress up like a superhero day - no masks or face paint, please.
Tuesday: Mix it up with Kindness - Mismatched outfit day. We don't need you to match to be kind
Wednesday: Team Kindness - Dress in your favorite sports team attire and join team kindness
Thursday: Peace, love, and Kindness - Wear your favorite tie dye and/or hippie outfit and show some kindness
Friday: Hats off to Kindness - Hat day!!! Let's tip our hats to kindness
