RED DAY!

*8th Grade Boys Basketball will practice today from 5:00 to 6:30 at PRIDE school

*The book fair will be open this morning until 8:30 and then it is finished.  The library will be closed after 12 today until the end of the day.

 *Who wants to place a handmade turkey crown on their homeroom teachers head? I mean... who doesn't? In order to do that, and eat a ton of pizza or ice cream, your homeroom needs to win the food drive!! Our FIRST collection and scoring is THIS WEDNESDAY and THURSDAY! That means your homeroom box needs food items in it!! And why not get some bonus points while we're at it?  Bring in mashed potatoes, canned soup, canned fruit, gravy, cranberry sauce or stuffing and get 5x the points through this Thursday!! Set a reminder for yourself so you don't forget. Gobble gobble!

 *Good morning, this is your Civil Rights Team here to wish you all a Happy Diwali which began yesterday, November 12th. Diwali is an important religious festival originating in India. Diwali takes place annually and lasts for five days, marking the start of the Hindu New Year. The word Diwali means “row of lights” in an Ancient language of India, called Sanskrit

*During this festival, people decorate their homes with lights and oil lamps and celebrate good triumphing over evil. It is a time to have fun with friends and family!  *NO Aquaponics this week until Thursday!

 *Pie Fundraiser delivery will be this Thursday from 4-6pm!  Come pick up your pies!

 *Today is a 5th grade chorus day! We are 4 weeks out from our first concert! See you in the cafe after announcements! 

 *Today is a 6th grade band and lesson day. Full Band is happening right now. Check your lesson calendar for lesson times.

 *Today is an 8th Grade Chorus Day. It is also a Chorus day for 7th Grade students who are not in band. We will meet in the upstairs music room following announcements.

 *Chess club today in Mr. Pyle's room 1200 at the end of the 7th grade wing from 2:15-3:00.   Students must have permission slips signed by the parent/guardian in order to participate and have rides ready at 3:00. 

 *Podcast Club will meet today until 3:15 in room 199.

 *Raise Your Voice has MANDATORY dress rehearsals today, Tuesday & Thursday in the cafeteria after school until 4:00 PM.  All cast and crew are to attend- NO EXCEPTIONS unless you have spoken to Mr. Bellefeuille. 

 All members of Sanford Middle School are invited to attend the performances of Raise Your Voice, a revue with songs from shows like Frozen, Annie, High School Musical, and Fiddler on the Roof Jr., this Friday at 4:30 and Saturday at 11:00 AM.  Tickets are $5.00 for adults and $3.00 for students & seniors and are available at the door and in our office.
