White Day!

 *Happy Red Ribbon week!  This year’s theme is Be Kind to your Mind.  Live Drug Free.  Staying drug free means investing in your current and future health.  You don’t have to use drugs to fit in.  There are other ways to belong.  Celebrate your uniqueness and show it to the world.

 *Congratulations to Octobers Be the Change Winners!  Your HR teacher will give you your certificate and you should come on down to the cafe for a brief celebration- Congratulation on being CAUGHT doing great things!

 * TONIGHT is the Parallel Realms haunted woods event!! Travel through space and time among six alternate dimensions ... it all begins at 5:30pm at Gowen Park. Hot Chocolate and snacks will be for sale, and there will be FREE CANDY!! We'll scare you there... I mean... see you there!

 *5th grade movie night is tomorrow from 4-5:30.  Admission is Free and there will be concessions for purchase!

*This Thursday, during Spartan Time, Mr. Allen will be holding a Winter Sports Meeting in the Library for the following sports:

7th and 8th Grade Girls Basketball, 7th and 8th Grade Boys Basketball, 7th and 8th Grade Cheerleading!  Tryouts will be on Monday, November 6th, and Thursday, November 9th

*This Friday is the state wide Day of Welcome sponsored by the Civil Rights Team Project. Our goal is to focus on making all students at SMS feel welcome and safe. Please wear spartan gear or red, white, and/or black in support of the Day of Welcome this Friday.

 *Today is a 6th grade lesson day. Lessons at block 3 for alto sax, block 4 for tenor sax. There will not be lessons for beginners today.

 *Today is 7th and 8th grade honors festival auditions at Westbrook Middle School! Those of you that are signed up to audition, please meet in Ms. Scarano’s band room or Mr. Pietruch’s room after they call walkers and all remaining students! If you do not have your permission slip, you may not get on the bus.
