RED Day!
*The Library will be closed today after 8:20 due to NWEA testing. Also a reminder that the upstairs teachers room will be closed periodically throughout the day for testing as well. Please plan accordingly.
*Spirit Week continues! The theme is Unity and Empathy Bullying Prevention! Today is grade levels UNITE! Wear the color of your grade level wing. Tomorrow is turn your back on bullying, wear your clothing backwards for a Wacky Wednesday!
*Do you feel strongly that all students in SMS should feel welcome no matter their race, national origin, sexual orientation, gender, religion, or ability? If so, you should join the SMS civil rights team with Ms. Scarano and Mr. Pietruch! Our first meeting will be in the upstairs music room 2225 after school on Thursday October 5th. Have rides ready for 3:15pm or be prepared to take the late activity bus! Hope to see you there!
*Today is a 5th grade chorus day. Rehearsal will be shortened due to testing. Today is the FIRST DAY attendance will be input on Infinite Campus. If you have not handed in your paperwork, you will not be on Ms. Spag’s roster
*Today is a 6th Grade Chorus day. It is also a Chorus day for 7th Grade students who are in band. Chorus will meet in the upstairs music room following announcements. We are still accepting new members. Hope to see you there!
*Student Leadership will be doing a coloring and drawing contest where you can choose to either make something of your own or do a coloring sheet. The winner from each grade level will get a $10 gift card to Frannies! All entries need to be turned into homeroom teachers by Oct. 24th Homeroom teachers can put entries into Mrs. Brown’s mailbox.
