SJHS students Miranda Tarnowski, Juliette Harding, Chloee Phinney and Connor Kingsbury team up with students from other middle schools around southern Maine to solve a challenge!

On Wednesday, May 22nd, 90 7th Grade JMG students traveled to Camp Ketcha for JMG's "Step Up Day" from all over southern Maine. The day is all about "stepping up" as leaders, role models and supports for others! This is especially important as these students will be the head of our JMG program next year. The SJHS students were mixed in with other 7th grade JMG students from other schools to complete difficult challenges. Students practiced stepping way out of their comfort zones, and stepping up as leaders. Sanford students were often recognized as "speaking up" and "sharing ideas" within their groups!
