*The book fair officially starts Monday. This is a buy one get one free book fair. If it is set up on Friday it may open early. During the book fair the library is closed in the morning unless you have money for the book fair.
*The Civil Rights Team will have its last meeting next Tuesday, May 23rd. All members past and present are welcome to come
*The final Mechanical Advantage Club meeting is Monday, May 22nd. We are hoping for good weather and sunshine so to race our solar powered cars.
*Please check the Lost and Found table outside of Guidance for any missing clothing! Thank you Ms. Noone for organizing the mess!
*There will be no chorus for the rest of the week for 5th, 6th and 7th grade. Rehearsals will resume next week!
*There will be no 8th grade chorus today because Mr. Pietruch is out. We will meet on Monday. See you next week!
*Attention all track athletes, you will be dismissed at 1:50 to change up and meet in the gym just like our last home meet. You will take a bus over to the high school to wait in the competition gym. Monday’s track meet sign-ups are available outside of Coach Allen’s room. Please sign up asap! And good luck to all athletes are their home meet this afternoon!
*Attention all Middle school boys basketball players, there will be a summer basketball meeting today at 1:55 in the big gym. Any player interested in playing this summer should attend.
*During the month of May, SMS is focusing on the theme of respect. We are holding a creative contest with 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners that answers the question: what does respect mean to you? You can do a drawing, poem, video, photograph, essay, sculpture or any other creative piece to represent respect. Creative pieces need to be submitted to your school counselor by Friday May 26th and winners will be announced the following week. Good Luck!
