Today is a RED Day
*Attention all 8th grade girls basketball players who are interested in playing basketball next year at the high school. There will be a meeting in the gym on today from 1:35-2:00 with Varsity Basketball Coach Rossi Kearson. See you all there!!
*Attention all Middle school boys basketball players; this message is for all grades. There will be a summer basketball meeting on Thursday May 18th at 1:55 in the big gym. Any player interested in playing this summer should attend.
*During the month of May, SMS is focusing on the theme of respect. We are holding a creative contest with 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners that answers the question: what does respect mean to you? You can do a drawing, poem, video, photograph, essay, sculpture or any other creative piece to represent respect. Creative pieces need to be submitted to your school counselor by Friday May 26th and winners will be announced the following week. Good Luck!

*Attention all track athletes, event sign-ups for this Thursday’s home meet are outside of Miss Allens room. Please sign up for your events ASAP.
*Today is a 5th grade chorus day. All 5th grade students will meet in the cafeteria, and then we will go upstairs to watch the 8th graders final rehearsal. Attendance is mandatory for all 5th grade members. See you at 1:30.
*Today is a 6th Grade band and lesson day. Lessons for all trumpets, flutes and altos. Full band at 1:30 for everyone.
*6th and 7th Grade Chorus students are invited to attend today's chorus rehearsal to watch the 8th grade Chorus prepare for their concert tomorrow. 6th and 7th grade Chorus will not meet tomorrow.
*7th grade band, there will be a mandatory dress rehearsal for tomorrows concert at 1pm today! There will be no announcement at 1:00 so don't forget!
*Teachers….a reminder that grades are due in IC today by 5pm!
