We have started specials in Pre-K!! So exciting and fun to experience art, music, gym, and health- snap ed classes with our special teachers! We are learning new expectations and procedures for our specials.

REMINDER: The Sanford School Counseling Department and GEAR Parent Network are hosting an event called "Defusing Challenging Behaviors: How to Effectively De-Escalate Your Child" TONIGHT from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm at Sanford Pride Elementary, in the library at 708 Main Street, Sanford, ME. Handouts, a certificate of attendance, and PowerPoint slides will be provided at the workshop. The event aims to teach different techniques for defusing challenging behaviors in children.

Sanford Pride Elementary has introduced a new program that provides its staff and students the opportunity to build relationships across the grade levels. The Buddy Classroom Program has emerged as an effective tool for enhancing academic, social, and emotional skills for both the older and younger students. Through various activities and interactions, participants learn the importance of taking turns, actively listening, sharing knowledge, praising others' efforts, offering assistance, and working collaboratively to accomplish common goals.
