Dear Parents,
During the month of March, we will be celebrating “Read Across America.” Each day we will celebrate by reading different books, and wearing a silly outfit. ( See “Read Across America flyer). I will also have some of my favorite titles on Seesaw for students to listen to and enjoy as well.
As another way to celebrate we will have “Guest Readers” read virtually and then the videos will be shared with each class. Some of our guests include a local Postal worker and the Children’s librarian from the Springvale Public Library.
Students will also have an opportunity to listen to an up-and-coming virtual author, Lyn Smith from Maine as well.
Lyn has written a few books and I had the opportunity to meet her at a book signing a few years ago. Her first book is “What Makes an Opossum Tick?” by: Lyn Smith, illustrated by: Jamie Hogan. The second book is “A Porcupines Promenade.”
