Tie Tuesday

Mr. Stone, one of Willard School’s fourth grade teachers has been teaching kids the importance of their American civic duty: voting! Each Tuesday at Willard, is known as Tie Tuesday. Staff and students alike are welcomed to participate in the race for the best tie. Participants where their ties to school on Tuesday and have a picture of just their tie and shirt taken and Mr. Stone shares the entries with the rest of Willard. All are invited to cast their ballot to determine who wore the best tie and the winning tie and overall ballot results are announced each Monday prior to the next Tie Tuesday! What a fun way to teach our students about the democratic process and such a valuable constitutional right and privilege. Which tie would you vote for?
