Here is this week's family newsletter. One more school day until Winter break. School will be back in session Thursday January 2nd, 2025. The next newsletter will go out January 9, 2025. Enjoy your vacation and we see you in the new year. https://5il.co/33txf

Good morning, tonight is CJL's PTA Family Movie Night. Doors open at 5pm and shows start at 5:30pm. We'll have hotdogs, pizza, and concessions for a small fee and free popcorn while supplies last. The movie is free for the whole family. Bring your camp chairs or blankets to get comfy. Please ask your children to stay with you and remain seated quietly unless a bathroom break or concessions are needed so everyone may enjoy the show! We'll be showing the Grinch and Wild Robot. Thank you to our volunteers, donors, and PTA for making this possible. We look forward to welcoming our families to be together this evening!

CJL students who normally come home on bus 5 will be home five to ten minutes early today on bus 6 instead.

Good morning, CJL. Please be sure to walk on our sidewalks and crosswalks. The bus lane needs to stay clear of foot traffic for everyone's safety. We appreciate your help with this. Have a safe winter.

Our club advisors are out sick so there is no bell choir after school tomorrow, Tuesday, December 10, 2024.

Good evening, Here is the correct edition of this week's CJL Family Newsletter. We apologize for any confusion. https://5il.co/32hp4

Etiquette and gratitude came alive at Carl J. Lamb Elementary! Mrs. Lieske's young hosts mastered the art of gracious dining, from perfect place settings to welcoming guests with warm smiles. The highlight? A feast where students put their new skills into action! 🍽️ Down the hall, the holiday spirit spread as Mrs. McCoy, Mrs. Stanton, and Mrs. Giordano's classes joined together for their own festive Thanksgiving celebration.

Good afternoon, We hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving and enjoy this week's CJL Family Newsletter. https://5il.co/31zal

🇺🇸 Celebrating Our Veterans Across Sanford Schools!
What an incredible display of gratitude and patriotism as our schools honored local veterans this Veterans Day season! Here's how our students showed their appreciation:
At Margaret Chase Smith Elementary:
Students and staff hosted their annual Veterans Day breakfast celebration
Multiple grade levels performed special presentations
First graders recited heartfelt poetry
The "Our MCS Heroes" wall displayed family military photos
Fourth-grade Den Ambassadors led the ceremony
At Sanford Pride Elementary:
The fourth-grade chorus brought music and joy to veterans at Pinnacle Health and Rehab
Students performed "Thank You To Our Veterans" and "On Veteran's Day"
Young voices filled the facility with gratitude and smiles
At Carl J. Lamb Elementary:
The Spartan Show Choir delivered a moving musical tribute
Students participated in an educational flag-folding ceremony
The school community came together for a special recognition ceremony
Thank you to all veterans who joined us and to all who have served. Your presence in our schools helps our students understand the true meaning of service and sacrifice. 🎖️
