In Ms. Adam’s classroom students were modeling equal shares and explaining what happens to the size of piece when you have more equal shares. This work was done with our Math Coach, Ms. Daniels. Looks like these students are having a great time while learning about fractions!

Next week is spirit week in anticipation of our fourth annual CJL Kids’ Color Fun Run! All proceeds of the Color Run will go towards the purchase of a brand new playground. The Saturday event is open to the public! Hope to see you there!

Over the weekend, our generous PTA installed a new GaGa Ball Pit at CJL on the big playground out back. Today I went outside during third grade recess to see if it was being used. It was an enormous hit! Thank you to our dedicated volunteers for all you do! We love it!
This morning some of our PTA moms and children welcomed every student who was dropped off by their families with high energy, music, balloons, and signs to ensure the safest and most efficient manner to arrive. It was tons of fun and many smiles were had by all! Thank you to all our lovely volunteers!

This is just a reminder that CJL students will travel by bus tomorrow morning to Sanford's Performing Arts Center to enjoy the art show. We will be back to CJL in time for our regular lunch and recess schedule. This is true for everyone with the exception of Mrs. O'Connor's, Mrs. Smith's, and Mrs. Sylvestre's kindergarten classes who will be leaving the art show to go to the Dover Children's Museum. These three classrooms will return to school at 12:45 and have bag lunches upon return.
Congratulations to the cast and crew of Little Shop of Horrors. A full house got to see the first musical at Sanford High School in many years. In case you missed it, there is another performance tonight beginning at 7:00 pm in the performing arts center. Also, check out the art show at Sanford High School before the show. Doors open at 6:00 pm. So proud of our students and their wonderful talents!

Good evening, This is just a reminder that our Mixed Bags fundraiser is due tomorrow please. Thank you!
Good morning,
This is a message from Carl Lamb School. At approximately 10:20 this morning, students were evacuated due to a smell of something overheating. The fire department arrived and investigated the smell. It was determined that an exhaust fan motor in the C Pod bathroom overheated on the roof. This caused the fresh air intake to bring the overheating smell inside the building. The fire department determined that the building was safe to reenter at 11:15. Students and staff returned to their daily schedule. Thank you to students and staff for an awesome job!
