Thank you to all Carl J. Lamb Elementary families who joined last night's PTA "Be Our Guest" event!

From karaoke performances in the music room 🎤 to dancing in the cafeteria 💃, gym activities, and creative crafts in the art room 🎨, students had a great time celebrating together.

A huge thank you to our PTA volunteers who made this event possible, and to all the families who came out to spend the evening together.

Good evening, We hope to see our CJL families at tonight's PTA Be Our Guest Event from 5:30-6:30pm. Come as you are! This is a free event, but we have pizza, hotdogs, and treats available for a small fee while they last. Learning through play and exploration! ❄️ Carl J. Lamb Pre-K students had a blast enjoying winter activities together. From building snow creations to outdoor exploration, these young learners are discovering the world around them while staying active.

We are excited to share information with you regarding the Sanford Public School Pre-Kindergarten (Pre-K) programs for the 2026-2027 school year. In September, we expect to continue offering full-day Pre-K programming at Carl J. Lamb School, Margaret Chase Smith School, Sanford Pride Elementary School, Sanford Regional Technical Center, Sanford-Springvale YMCA and a new partnership with Kid’s Kove Early Learning Center.

As students return to school following the holiday break, winter conditions make bus stop safety more important than ever. With darker mornings and potentially icy roads, now is the perfect time to review essential safety practices with your children.

Carl J. Lamb second graders are diving deep into the wonderful world of number patterns! In Unit 3 of Reveal Math, students are exploring:
✨ Skip counting by 5s, 10s, and 100s ✨ Even and odd numbers ✨ Arrays and repeated addition ✨ Exciting addition patterns
It's amazing to see how engaged our young mathematicians are as they build on their place value skills and discover the patterns that make math so fun!

Last week brought wonderful learning celebrations!

At Margaret Chase Smith Pre-K, our students wrapped up Unit 2 with a joyful Learning Celebration alongside their families. Children proudly shared their work, demonstrated new skills, and guided their grown-ups through hands-on activities from the unit. It was heartwarming to see families learning together and celebrating all the growth happening in Pre-K!

Meanwhile, Carl J. Lamb 3rd graders showcased their analytical skills during their Unit 1 writing celebration. Students selected a main character from the classic tale The Wind In The Willows and provided evidence for specific character traits. They did an excellent job demonstrating their understanding!
