This latest edition of the Sanford Spotlight Newsletter includes a heartfelt editorial from a student who reflected on last week’s “swatting” event in Sanford High School’s online newspaper “The Spartan Times.” It also features an article on the Sanford High School Theater Company’s performance of ‘Clue’ last weekend titled ‘Resilient in the face of Challenges.’

Do you love working with kids? Are you creative, but don't know where to use your talents? The Sanford School Department wants you! Come to SCAE at 668 Main Street in Sanford on Wednesday October 26th from 12 to 4 p.m.. It's a great opportunity to bring your resume, meet staff, and interview all on the spot! Job openings include Ed Techs, School Counselor and Seal Team. Both the BRIDGE and SEAL programs work to support students who have not been successful in the typical school setting and use non-traditional approaches to help students be successful.

What the continuation of school closure through April 27th means for SCAE Academic students...classes are cancelled. Our focus continuins to be keeping our learners connected and learning. This is a highly individualized process dependent on teacher and student accessibility to technology. Teachers and students are in constant contact to discuss plans to keep their learning on track. Office staff will be available to answer phone calls from 8-2 Monday through Friday, our building will be closed to the public. No classes, no testing, no meetings. Be well!

Bus 14 was in a minor traffic accident during the secondary run this afternoon. The bus will be running about 20 minutes late as a result.

Sanford K-12 has a 2 hour delay therefore SCAE will have a 1 hour delay for morning classes. Be safe.
