Margaret Chase Smith School students and staff participated in kindness activities in February. As a school, students and staff sent notes, cards, and snacks to the workers assigned to the construction of the new addition. The project is progressing and the construction crew placed the last major beam to the addition's frame on Friday. To thank students and staff for their acts of kindness, PC Construction invited all MCS students and staff to sign their names on the last beam for the addition's frame. While the beam will not be visible once the school's addition is completed, the beam with all the signatures will act as a time capsule as it will have the signatures of everyone currently at MCS. On Friday, students watched as the beam was raised by a crane and placed in its final location. Pictured is the beam with all of the signatures.
