The Culinary Arts program of the Sanford Regional Technical Center is kicking off its 2020 season in the month of February.  

The Culinary program is a two year curriculum of rigorous hands on and related studies designed for juniors and seniors in high school.  This program is housed in the Business and Marketing wing (D wing) of the new Sanford High School/Sanford Regional Technical Center, which recruits students from eight participating high schools in the SRTC area.

In the second semester of the school year, the Culinary program opens its 38 seat dining room to the public as well as faculty, staff and students. High school juniors and seniors design menus, prepare and serve breakfast and lunch as part of the restaurant operations unit.  "The Cafe" restaurant, as it is known, is open most Wednesdays and Thursdays and serves a semi a la carte breakfast menu from 8:15 am to 9:15 am and a $9.95 all inclusive lunch menu from 11:15 am to 12:15 pm. Reservations are required.  Guests are asked to enter the building at the main entrance of the school to be signed in.  There will be no access through the Community Retail Center entrance.

The restaurant does accept donations and gratuities which fund the Culinary Students Scholarship Fund, which is used to help our students further their culinary education.  Reservations can be made by email at jcouture@sanford.org or by phone at (207) 206-1843. Reservations must be confirmed verbally or by email.
