As I was walking about the 8th grade wing at Sanford High School I came upon Mrs. Fraser's 4th block social studies class. Mrs. Fraser's class was beginning a unit on different cultures around the world, and to create a better understanding of different countries' cultures around the world, her students were finding facts about the five major religions around the world. Mrs. Fraser explained she was having her students start by looking briefly at the different religions since many countries' culture is heavily influenced by the main religion there. The students were working hard finding facts about Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Hinduism and Buddhism. Students worked hard collaborating as they checked their facts with each other.
