            WHITE Day

 

 

The Civil Rights Team invites all students and staff to A Conversation with Kendra Williams on Tuesday, April 5, 2022, at 2:30 pm in the Agora.  Mrs. Williams--a community member, former school committee member, and mother of Mr. Brett Williams--will be speaking about how one person can make a difference by challenging bias in schools, the Equal Rights Amendment, the differences between laws and the Constitution, and how students can civically engage in the causes that they believe in.  Please join us!

Your results are IN!  Thank you for taking the March Matchness survey! Your results are now in and available to purchase during lunch this week or in the AP's office for $3. We accept cash or Venmo (@SHS_Abroad). If you Venmo, please put your first and last name in the comment and note if you want your results printed or digitally.  The results share your most compatible matches in your grade and the other remaining grades, your opposites, as well as a few mystery matches. You also receive birthday "trivia" that includes celebrity matches, "This day in History", horoscope and Zodiac information, and more!  Thank you for supporting this fundraiser. Good afternoon SHS Class of 2022!!

Please click on the link below and fill out the online 2022 General Scholarship Application.  Every graduating senior, early grads and 3-year grads who plan on attending a college or university, or technical school may fill out this form.  You must attach your college acceptance letter, fafsa and financial aid information (EFC) with this application no later than Friday, April 8, 2022 via the online form or hand it into the Principal’s Office by the deadline date.

Muffins are in the school store!!!!  Lots of variety, you’re sure to find a favorite.  All are .50.Get them before they are gone.

Nothing says spring like the bright, shiny blossoms of Pansies! Plants Plus will have their first greenhouse sale of the year from April 11 - April 15 at the kiosk in the main lobby. Pansy gardens, pansy 4 paks and 8 paks, our own houseplants, succulents and a collection of early spring plant-ables like Kale, Parsley and Onions. See you there!

GSTA meets Thursdays after school in B237

Environmental Club meets Tuesdays @ 7:20am in Ms. Trafelet’s room E222.  We have several projects we will be working on this year.  Come join us and help make a positive impact on our planet.  All are welcome!!

Science Bowl will meet in the Small Cafeteria during Tuesday Spartan Time and is welcoming new competitors for their teams.  For more information, please email bmarass@sanford.org

Civil Rights Team meets Tuesdays after school, in the library or Zoom.  We will also be meeting every other Friday during Spartan Time! New members are always welcome.

Art club meets every Thursday in room B127 with Mrs. Gillis from 2:20-3:30. All are welcome!

Pep Club meets on Tuesdays after school in room C224 to discuss Homecoming, New Goals and a Great Year!

Key Club will start meeting Monday nights at 6:30 on the agora stairs.  Key Club is the best way to fulfill community service requirements and have a great time with friends at the same time!

SHS Peer Helpers meet every Friday morning in the small cafeteria at SHS. Meetings begin at 7:30 or if you are a bus student stop by when your bus arrives at school.  New student tours, Thanksgiving baskets, #thisisus are all part of what SHS Peer Helpers are involved in. On April 30 the Rolling Thunder is hosting an Annual Bowl-A-Thon for Veterens from 9am-4pm.  You can bowl for 1-6 hours.  Registration fee is $10.  If you are interested please call Bonnie @ 207-490-1858.
