If you have not returned your first day paperwork, please bring it to the main office by the end of THIS WEEK.

Any Juniors or Seniors driving to school that have not yet gotten a pass need to do so by 9/17 so you do not get ticketed.

SPORTS ANNOUNCEMENTS

 

 

 

CLUBS AND ORGANIZATIONS

 

Civil Rights Team meets Tuesdays after school, in the library or Zoom.  We will also be meeting every other Friday during Spartan Time, starting on September 24th! New members are always welcome.

Art club will be held every Thursday in room B127 with Mrs. Gillis from 2:20-3:30. All are welcome!

Pep Club will meet on Tuesdays after school in room C224 to discuss Homecoming, New Goals and a Great Year!

Key Club will start meeting Monday nights at 6:30 on the agora stairs.  Key Club is the best way to fulfill community service requirements and have a great time with friends at the same time!

SHS Peer Helpers meet every Friday morning in the small cafeteria at SHS. Meetings begin at 7:30 or if you are a bus student stop by when your bus arrives at school.  New student tours, Thanksgiving baskets, #thisisus are all part of what SHS Peer Helpers are involved in. Please text 81010 to @bletou to sign up on Remind and begin receiving updates from Mrs. Letourneau (advisor). 

Anime, Chess and Cribbage club will be Thursday after school, in Room B243

 

Want to get rugged?! The fitness room will be open after school for students and staff.  Workout plans are available.  See you there!

St. Andre Health Care in Biddeford is hiring for the Dietary Services Staff (no experience necessary) for part-time on their 4:00pm-7:30pm shift.  If interested please apply at www.standre.org

 

Community Service Opportunities

There is a local woman looking for some help moving furniture from/to a storage unit.  If you are interested, please see Mrs. Pattershall in A237.

The Seashore Trolley Museum is putting on a Pumpkin Patch Trolley Event and they are looking for volunteers to help out on the following dates: September 24, 25 & 26 and October 1, 2,3, 8, 9, 20 & 21.  If you are interested, please see Mrs. Pattershall or email events@trolleymuseum.org

The Springvale Library is having a book sale on Sept. 15 and would love some help.  Please contact Mrs. Dube @ sdube@springvalelibrary.org

Random Fact of the Day: The word Bonobo, the common name for apes, was the result of a typo.  The animals were first discovered in a town named Bolobo and they misprinted it on the crate.
