SHS Daily Announcements 04/16/21

HAVE A GREAT VACATION!!

The SHS Civil Rights Team wants you to know that our Asian friends, neighbors, and communities are hurting. We can help by educating ourselves and acknowledging that anti-Asian racism is real, checking in with Asian American friends and neighbors, supporting local Asian American businesses, and joining the #StopAsianHate social media campaign. For more information, follow this link. https://hhrcmaine.org/stopasianhate/

A Revised Message from the Sanford High School Civil Rights Team:  April is Autism Acceptance Month, and the Sanford High School Civil Rights Team invites you to join us by wearing red on Fridays throughout the month of April to honor and celebrate autistic people in the world and in our school.  (Please disregard the previous announcement from Friday, March 26, 2021.  Though we are working hard to help foster conversations about civil rights topics, we do not always get things right.  However, we are open to feedback and will make adjustments when it is appropriate and necessary to make them.  Thank you for your forgiveness and understanding.)
