SHS Daily Announcements 04/02/21

A Revised Message from the Sanford High School Civil Rights Team:  April is Autism Acceptance Month, and the Sanford High School Civil Rights Team invites you to join us by wearing red on Fridays throughout the month of April to honor and celebrate autistic people in the world and in our school.  (Please disregard the previous announcement from Friday, March 26, 2021.  Though we are working hard to help foster conversations about civil rights topics, we do not always get things right.  However, we are open to feedback and will make adjustments when it is appropriate and necessary to make them.  Thank you for your forgiveness and understanding.)

This Year’s FREE Prom Dress Event will be on Tuesday April 6th 2:30- 3:30 to be held upstairs Hallway. For more information, please see Vicky Payeur or Cheryl Gifford.

SHS Book Club will be starting a new book. We will be discussing the SCI-FI book, We are the ants, by David Hutchinson beginning on Friday, April 2nd. Here's a brief summary: Henry Denton has spent years being periodically abducted by aliens. Then the aliens give him an ultimatum: The world will end in 144 days, and all Henry has to do to stop it is to push a big red button......Only he isn't sure he wants to.  If this sounds interesting to you, join our Google Classroom, https://classroom.google.com/c/MjI0MzE2MjY4OTI2?cjc=5fw3jn4 or come see Ms. Raymond in the library to reserve your copy of We are the ants
