SHS Daily Announcements 03/15/21 A-Group
Student council is going to try something different this year. Instead of traditional karaoke, students will submit anonymous karaoke videos and then students will vote for a winner for each grade to receive a $20 gift card of their choice. The four winners will be entered into an overall contest and that class will win $50.
To participate, students must email their video (without a name, face, identifying information) to Mrs. White (ewhite@sanford.org) and Ms. English (henglish@sanford.org) by 2:00 pm on Wednesday, March 31. You must identify your name and grade so that we can keep track but other students will not see this information. Winners will be announced and revealed at a later date.
"That's what she said..." If you're familiar with The Office, you know that Michael Scott makes some really bad jokes. For Woman's History Month, we are turning that phrase into something educational- quoting famous, and not so famous women. If you want to participate, there are a couple of ways to do that. 1. Come down to the library to get some quote bubbles. 2. Convince your teacher that this would be a great class activity for everyone (then get some quote bubbles from the library), 3. If you are a distance learner, open this link https://docs.google.com/drawings/d/10fJWlZlhrLoSw4raOmXkHCb2ngRAaaVHR4dqzfV_jCI/edit?usp=sharing, copy the file, then return it to me at jraymond@sanford.org (please make sure you make a copy of the original before adding your words to the quote bubble). All school-appropriate quotes will be displayed in the hall outside of the library.
