Because of the CDC guidelines regarding the number of people that can attend an outdoor event (100), SHS can have no spectators at its home or away games.
Under these guidelines, we have to include all athletes from both teams, officials and game personnel. We would have to screen everyone, have them sign in, and monitor masks/social distancing. It would be unfair to have us choose the 25 or 30 people who may be allowed in.
Beyond the CDC, our league voted to not have spectators due to all indicated above. There is a lot required and to manage for schools so our student's can compete. Having spectators would make that more difficult to manage. If we can’t manage the guidelines, we will have to shut the contests down and this is something we do not want to happen.
Also, people will not be allowed to sit along the fence line at schools. All games, home and away will be live streamed. Those addresses will be emailed to the coaches so the students will have them. We will also post them in the "Live Feed" of the High School website. Thank you for understanding!
