The Sanford High School National Honor Society hosted their Spartan Showcase on April 16th, 2025, at the Sanford Performing Arts Center (SPAC). The annual variety show drew an enthusiastic crowd and successfully raised funds for NHS activities while highlighting student talents.
Community members of all ages enjoyed the two-act program featuring twelve diverse performances. Act 1 opened with "Swerve City" performed by Eli Baker, Evan Caron, Austin Glidden, Rebecca Horton, and Brennan Reynolds, setting an energetic tone for the evening. Solo performances like Hazel Marcinkowski's "Daydreams" showcased individual talents, while the Sanford Varsity Cheer squad dazzled with their precision routine.
Act 2 continued the entertainment with the Mars Hypnotic Brass Ensemble, emotional performances like "When God Made You My Father" by Addison and Lillian Tuttle, and creative expressions including Allyssa Mallock's "I Only Paint in Red." The Color Guard demonstration added visual artistry to the musical lineup.
Between performances, the masters of ceremonies kept the audience engaged with humorous banter, games, and the promised "special surprises." The raffle table, featuring donations from many local businesses, created additional excitement throughout the evening.
The showcase was made possible through generous support from over 30 local sponsors, including River Junction Brewing, Paras Pizza, and various SRTC programs. The professionally designed program, created by SRTC Digital Design student Mair Clarke, served as both a guide to the performances and a keepsake from the evening.
