RECRUITING OPPORTUNITY TO EARN $100!!
If you are: Between the ages of 13-18, live in Maine, currently use tobacco or have tried it in the past (including vaping, nicotine patches and E-cigarettes) and are comfortable sharing your opinion about tobacco please scan the QR code found on the bulletin boards throughout the building. You might be chosen to be in an online discussion or interviewed about tobacco use among teenagers.
The Sanford Band is playing at the Maine Mariners!! Come support the band in its fundraising efforts for their 2026 Salute to America Parade in Philadelphia by going to the Mariners game on February 2nd at 3pm, buying some concessions from the concessions booth that our music boosters are running, and listening to the band during intermission! STAFF: York County Audubon is again offering a scholarship for a one-week program for Educators this summer on famed Hog Island off the mid-coast of Maine. The program is entitled "Sharing Nature: An Educator's Week," and runs from August 10th - 15th. National Audubon Society has been offering the Educator's Week program each summer since 1936! NHS is offering FREE tutoring sessions every Thursday from 2:30 - 3:30pm in B-143B. Stop by for a little extra help in a subject area of your choice. The late bus is available on this day.
The Late Bus will pick students up on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays @ 3:45PM at the flagpole out front.

There is a Rec Basketball League that is starting up. If you are interested, placements will be held on Saturday, February 15th from 1-3. You will need a guardian with you to fill out the paperwork. Anime club now meets every Thursday right after school until 3:30 in Ms. Silva’s room B212.
Nature Journal Club – Thursdays in Ms. Strout's room B249 (top red)
The Health and Wellness Club in the gym is now open every day after school except Wednesdays. All are welcome!
GSTA will be meeting Thursday mornings before school as well as Thursday after school. Please see Mrs. Stanhope in B237 if interested.
Science bowl - The 2025 Science bowl is going to be held in person at USM in February. We would love to have 2 complete teams. We will meet during ST on Thursdays so have your homeroom teacher schedule you to Ms. English.
Peer Helpers will meet on Fridays from 7:30-7:45 AM in the small café
Civil Rights Team will meet on Mondays @ 2:25pm in the library. Please join us to help make the school a place where everyone feels safe, welcome, and respected for who they are!
D&D Club meets on Tuesdays from 2:30-3:30 in E121 (Dr. K’s room) Come join!
SHS Book Club: Meets every Thursday during Spartan Time. New members are welcome when we start a new book.
Art Club: Do you need a space to be creative? Look no further than joining Art Club! Can't commit to a weekly club? No worries! Drop ins always welcome! See Ms. Simoneau, B127 Tuesdays from 2:30-3:30.
Environmental Club now meets on Monday’s @ 2:30 in Mr. Jeney’s room, E256 at the end of the hall, 2nd floor Blue wing.
The ASL Club runs every Tuesday from 2:30-3:30 pm after school in room E123A. We hope to see you there!

COMMUNITY SERVICE OPPORTUNITIES
SHS student volunteers needed to help at an upcoming event at Sanford Pride School on February 26th from 3:30-6 pm. We need students to dress up as mascots as well as to run a craft/fun table. Please email Mrs. Letourneau at bletourneau@sanford.org if interested.
