A message from the Civil Rights Team:

Native American Heritage Month is observed every November in the United States to celebrate the rich and diverse Tribal cultures, traditions, and histories of American Indians and Alaska Natives. Additionally, we celebrate those who continue to shape our society, lead their communities, and impact our culture today.

Out of recognition and respect for Wabanaki People, the People of the Dawn, we would like to acknowledge our presence on their ancestral and unceded homeland.

Join us in celebrating the strength and resiliency of Native Americans today and everyday. Those fighting to hold on to their heritage while striving towards a future where their culture and their people thrive.
