Yearbook Distribution is upon us!

Seniors will get their yearbooks: June 5th @ senior game night @ green wing kiosk

Underclassman will get their yearbooks: June 6th - during lunches @ green wing kiosk

Seniors who are not present at game night will get them at marching practice June 6th.

Underclassman who do not get them during lunches will be able to be picked up from Ms. Cormier in School Counseling.

Yearbooks are now cash only - $70 for sale ONLY in the guidance office and D113. Books will be sold from now until June 1st, or until we run out - whichever comes first!

 

SPORTS ANNOUNCEMENTS

 

JV  Softball @ 4PM Scarborough HS

Girls summer soccer information meeting will be held during Spartan Time Wednesday May 31st in the Wrestling Room. This is for all returners and any new comers that want to join the fun!

Summer boys basketball meeting on Tuesday, June 6th at 2:30 in the practice gym.

 

CLUBS AND ORGANIZATION

 

ASL Club meets every Tuesday in room B246 from 2:10-3:00

 

Key Club meets every Monday @ 6:30pm in the small café.

Chamber Singers will meet on Fridays from 2:30-4:00pm.  See Mr. LaBerge for more info

Health and Wellness Club will run every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday in the weight room right after school.

Chess & Cribbage Club meets on Tuesdays from 2:10-3:10 in D222

SHS Peer Helpers meet every Friday MORNING @ 7:30am in the small café

Math Team will meet Tuesdays right after school in D243

D&D Club will meet Tuesdays 2:15-3:30 in D242 and Fridays 2:15-3:30 in the Cafeteria

GSTA will meet every Thursday after school in B237

Future Educators of America will meet the second Tuesday of each month @ 2:30 in D-113

Diversity Committee will meet the 1st and 3rd Monday of the month in E121

SHS book club meets every Wednesday during ST in the Library.  New members welcome.

Art Club  Need some creative time to unwind after school? Join us for Art Club every Thursday after school until 3:15. Everyone is welcome!  Ms. Monroe’s room B147

Anime club will be meeting in room B243, Tuesdays from 2:10 – 3:10

Civil Rights Team: Do you believe that school is a place where students should feel safe, welcomed, respected, and celebrated for who they are? The Sanford Civil Rights Team is the club for you! Please join us on Mondays from 2:15-3:15 in the library.  ALL ARE WELCOME!

Community Service Opportunities

Dr. Gould is looking for someone interested in maintaining his lawn for the summer.  Must have your own mower.  If interested please see Mrs. Pattershall in A237.

Sanford Parks and Recreation is looking for a few good High School Youth who have a true fondness for working with Kiddos K-6th Grade this summer. The people who maintain the dog park in town are looking for volunteers to help rake it out.  If you are interested, please call Glen Houde @ 207-270-3691.

Want a fun way to earn your volunteer hours?  Come hang out at Little League Park @ our concession stand. Jobs include: Making burgers and fries, some cashier work, stocking, and cleaning. Mostly just helping to motivate and put smiles on little kids faces!!!

Life Hacks from your school nurse:   Shoes seem like they're taking forever to dry? Stuff some crinkled newspaper inside them (right up to the toe of the shoe) and replace every couple hours, they'll dry out 10 times faster!
