In Mrs. G's class, first graders learned how to play, Penny Dice. This game uses two important tools, pennies and dice. Working with dice provides opportunities for first graders to identify quantities represented by the dot patterns. This game will help students decompose numbers quickly which is the foundational skill for addition and subtraction!
