Mrs. Gillis's class got a NEW student today - His name is Gus. Unfortunately, Gus came from a school that did not teach him phonics. Therefore, it was the job of the second graders, and will continue to be their job, to get Gus caught up. They started by helping Gus find some troublemaker words that he used in his welcome letter to the class. The students were great, and so welcoming, to their new classmate. Yes, Gus is a baby Dragon, but that doesn't mean he can't learn phonics!
