Kindergarten and first grade students at CJL, in Mrs. Mccall and Mrs. Stanton’s classes, came together to build gingerbread houses from graham crackers, frosting, and candy! Students compared different stories featuring the gingerbread cookie as the main character. Students learned about the different components that make up a story - characters, setting, problem, solution and using a story map to support learning. Their special creations were sent home as gifts for their families.
