The Sanford School Department is spotlighting employees at all of our schools. If you know an employee who you feel should be highlighted, please email Sam Bonsey at email@example.com. This spotlight is on Sara Meehl, who is a 3rd Grade Teacher at Carl J. Lamb.

This is my 4th year at CJL.
If you could share one piece of advice with students, what would it be?
Try eliminating the phrase "I'm bored" from your vocabulary. Instead, look for ways to enjoy, learn from or improve whatever situation you're currently in.
What made you want to become an educator?
The creativity and open mindedness of kids inspires me to keep learning and thinking in new ways, and this energy made me want to become a teacher. I'm so lucky that I get to surround myself with such cool humans every day!
What are your interests and hobbies?
I love to hike, bike, go to the beach, and read mystery books.
What is your favorite TV show or movie?
My go-to TV show is Ted Lasso.
