(Sanford Music Boosters)

There was a packed house at the Sanford Performing Arts Center for the Spring Sing Concert on Wednesday, March 1st. The concert featured Sanford’s combined high, middle, and elementary school choruses.

The 8th-grade chorus started with their rendition of “What a Wonderful World” by Roy Boinson. The 6th and 7th-grade chorus followed with John Denver’s “Take Me Home (Country Roads).”

The 5th-grade chorus then took the stage to perform “Sunday Best” by Mark Bremer.

The SHS Treble Choir performed a rendition of “Cups” from the movie Pitch Perfect followed by the chorus singing Sisi ni moja “We Are One” by Jacob Narverud.

Following intermission, the 4th grade combined chorus of Carl J. Lamb, Margaret Chase Smith, and Sanford Pride sang “Step By Step” by Teresa Jennings. The finale combined the Sanford School choirs performing “Fireflies.”

Many people are to thank for helping make this concert possible, including choral directors Hattie Skvorak, Heather Hastings, Meaghan Mannino, Katie Spagnolo, Justin Pietruch, and Matt LaBerge, and piano accompanist Joanna Hamblin.
