Sanford Community Adult Education Announces New Director

Jayne Perkins is the joining the staff of Sanford Community Adult Education (SCAE) as Program Director.  Jayne is currently teaching for Noble High School in North Berwick and has taught various grade levels from Kindergarten to High School over her thirty years in education.  In addition to her K-12 experiences, Jayne was exposed to the world of adult education when she taught a series of History classes for Noble Adult Education. Jayne earned her undergraduate degree in education from the University of New England and her Master’s Degree in Administrative Leadership from Endicott College.

Jayne will be responsible for administering all program offerings for SCAE which provides lifelong learning opportunities to Sanford and the surrounding communities.  Some of the programs she will be oversee are High School Diploma, High School Equivalency, College Preparation, English Language Acquisition, Workforce Skills Development, Adult Basic Education, and Enrichment.

Jayne says she fell in love with teaching folks who needed support and guidance to reach their goals during her time at Noble Adult Education and is very excited about this new opportunity to lead SCAE into the future.

Jayne was approved by the Sanford School Committee on September 13th and will begin her new position at SCAE on October 12th.
