Nichole Ivey, SCAE Director

Sanford Community Adult Education Welcomes New Director

Nichole Ivey has worked in the Sanford community since 2013.  During that time, she served as the Director of the Drug Free Communities grant where her primary focus was community building.  Nichole has worked with key stakeholders for the last seven years to create community conditions that foster wellness, success, and happiness for the residents of Sanford and Springvale.  While in that role, Nichole also taught English Language Arts at Sanford Community Adult Education. 

Nichole is a first-generation college student and is passionate about education.  She earned her undergraduate degree at Saint Joseph's College of Maine where she majored in English and minored in Philosophy; she earned her Master's degree in English from the University of New Hampshire.  Nichole resides in Lebanon with her husband and two sons, Leigh and Griffin.

The SCAE family feels very fortunate to have Nichole on board and look forward to accomplishing much to the benefit of our students under her leadership.
