Margaret Chase Smith School held their annual “ Reading Under the Stars” event on the evening of March 26th. Upon arrival, each family received a bag filled with a variety of wonderful books to enjoy at home. Each bag contained an assortment of genres and interest. Students and their families had a fun filled evening of reading, participating in a book swap and photo booth as well as delicious snacks provided by the MCS PTA.
Students and families were able to visit three sessions of their choice where a staff or volunteer were reading some of their favorite books. In between sessions families visited the cafeteria where they enjoyed their snack, got creative in the “favorite book character” photo booth and were able to select a book from the book swap table. Thank you to all who came and participated in this fun filled evening!
