1st graders have been learning about different reading strategies they can use and to add these strategies to their "reading tool box". This Thursday I had the opportunity to hear some of Mrs. Morrison's 1st graders read. When I asked them which strategy they were using, the students were excited to share that they might have been using a "running start", "crashing parts together" or "asking if it makes sense" among many more. It was a joy to see these students read confidently and enjoy reading books.
