The second grade science unit is Material Magic this trimester. The science unit develops the idea that by taking advantage of the properties of materials we can solve many problems in our lives. Through this unit students have been exploring the material properties involved in meeting basic needs. In this lesson the students used materials to invent something that they could use. They also came up with ideas on how stretchy bouncy glass would help make everyday life easier.
