Tuesday, Ms. McGuiggin's second grade students invited family and friends to see their Space Museum. Ms. McGuiggin's had to research and find facts about a planet they selected. Her students worked on how to use secondary research resources; take down notes; work collaboratively; and organize their writing to educate the visitors to their museum. Ms. McGuiggin's second grade classroom was transformed into a museum where each students' book about their planet was on display and on the wall were large posters for each planet that had interesting facts about the planet. Ms. McGuiggin would like to thank all the visitors who came and visited as it showed her students that their work was meaningful.
