On May 7th the students at Margaret Chase Smith School were treated to the musical sounds from the Portland Symphony Orchestra (PSO). As part of their Kinder Concerts members from the PSO visited Carl J. Lamb and Margaret Chase Smith Schools. All the students in grades Kindergarten through third grade from all of Sanford's public schools learned about some of the brass instruments from the PSO. While our students learned about each brass instrument and the unique sounds each makes, the message about how an orchestra is like a team and their teamwork of blending all the instruments' sounds made for better music.
