*Currently juniors and seniors may take one block off during the school year if they have earned enough credits. Be aware however that colleges prefer to admit students who have carried a FULL schedule throughout high school.

IMPORTANT: These minimum requirements are not enough for acceptance into 4-year colleges and not enough for some 2-year programs. For example, two or more credits of a language are required by all four year colleges. All 4-year and many 2-year colleges require at least Algebra II--regardless of how many math credits have been earned. Participation in sports, clubs, and/or student government during each year of high school are also very important to colleges; so is giving back to your community! Visit any college website and look for their admission requirements--you'll see what we mean.

Keep your options open by progressing as far as you can and "maxing-out" in each department--at least math and English. That may be CP level for some and AP level for others--just make sure you are challenged. Find some activities that matter to you and stick with them. Your opportunities after graduation will be awesome!

**Graduation requirements for the Class of 2018 will be changing. Details will be made public as they become available.
