Maine Department of Education – Adult Education Division releases data information for FY17 and FY18

SCAE is proud to have exceeded state goals for both of these fiscal periods.

State goals for adult learners in FY17 (July 1, 2016-June 30, 2017)

Measurable skills gains-the state goal was 34%, SCAE is proud to have achieved 50%.

Academic Intensity-the state goal was 81.8 hrs/learner, SCAE recorded 92 hrs/learner

State goals for adult learners in FY18 (July 1, 2017-June 30, 2018)

Measurable skills gains-the state goal was 35%, SCAE is proud to have achieved 57%.

Academic Intensity-state goal was 78.0 hrs/learner, SCAE recorded 101.34 hrs/learner

Another important number is pre and post testing; this is the only way we can demonstrate skill gains, we know it is hard for students to come in and do testing above and beyond their classes, they have families, work, and classes.  The state goal both years was to have 60% of learners pre and post-test; because of the dedication of our staff and the cooperation of our students SCAE was able to record 71% in fy17 and 82% in fy18!  SCAE students you ROCK!
