Mrs. Longfish’s second graders shared their “How to” writing with their parents and guests. This event was a celebration for finishing their non-fiction writing unit. Each student wrote and illustrated a book that shared facts about a chosen topic or how to do something such as make a PB&J sandwich. It was great to see so many adults taking an interest in the children’s schoolwork. This reinforces to the children that their education matters.
