Last Tuesday we explored our classroom names. We used our name chart to investigate the number of vowels, consonants, syllables, if our names have any snap words inside or any digraphs (sh, th, ch). Students loved stomping out different names to find the number of syllables each name had.
In writing students continued working on their narrative writing. Encourage your child to think of topics they can write about in the classroom and touch their fingers as they plan out their stories. This will allow them to truly see that there are stories everywhere!!
