Dear Class of 2023/2024 and Parents/Guardians,
On WEDNESDAY October 14, 2020 the PSAT's will be given at SHS to all grade 10 students and only to grade 11 students who had pre-registered by yesterday(Thursday). Please review the important information below.
- Buses will run at normal times in the morning(Sanford/Springvale and Acton(Acton only if you had requested bus transport) and will pick up at SHS at 1:00 after the test is over to return students to their homes.
- A free breakfast and lunch will be offered at SHS. Student may bring a snack and water to drink as well but in order to follow test regulations and social distancing guidelines will have to step outside of the testing room to remove their mask to enjoy their snack or drink (while maintaining 6 ft distance from others).
- Students are asked to bring a #2 pencil and calculator that meets College Board regulations https://collegereadiness.collegeboard.org/psat-nmsqt-psat-10/taking-the-tests/test-day-checklist/approved-calculators. SHS will have a few calculators that students can borrow (but not enough for each student so if your child has one please ask them to bring it).
- Testing will take place on the second floor of the high school and information related to what room your child is testing in will be located in the main lobby of SHS on both the first and second floor.
- Due to testing procedure student phones will need to be turned off and put away like a regular school day. If you need to reach your child during testing please call 207-324-4050. Failure to comply with this will result in a student having to have their test scores cancelled and be removed from the testing room.
- Testing will begin promptly at 7:50 am and should end around 12 pm. Reminder that buses will transport students home at 1. Students who drive or are being picked up should plan on being picked up at approximately 12:00 pm.
