No School 10/9/20 or 10/12/20:
This is just a reminder that there is no school for students tomorrow, Friday, October 9th, due to it being a Teacher Workshop Day and no school on Monday, October 12th, in observance of Indigenous Peoples' Day. We hope that you enjoy this long weekend with your families. Our full school calendar is on our website www.sanford.org. We also have a district calendar of events on our website that we update. We keep our news section, live feed, and events sections updated regularly also. Please check the Sanford School Department and the Carl J. Lamb School regularly FMI. There is an app that syncs to this website called Sanford Schools (the one with our Spartan helmet logo) available for free on your cell phone or tablet.
NWEA Testing Window 10/13-30/2020:
Beginning Oct. 13th through October 30th, CJL students will be taking their NWEA tests (also known as MAP tests). Each grade level will take one reading and one math test. Your child's teacher will let you know which exact two days in this window that he/she will be tested. It is important that your child come to school well rested, have a healthy breakfast either at home or school, and that they bring a healthy snack and water bottle to school. Our curriculum director has written a letter regarding MAP testing that I have asked individual teachers to send home to you in your child's homework folder. If your child is a full distance learner, you will receive information from Beth Lambert regarding NWEAs via email.

Optional Flu Shot Clinic for CJL in person learners: Oct. 26th and Oct. 27th (permission slip needs to be returned)
Beginning of the Year Parent/Guardian Paperwork for Distance Learners: If you haven't yet returned the beginning of the year paperwork for your distance learner(s), please drop it off to the school between 8:00am and 3:00pm. If you have any questions, please call the school's office at 324-8481.
Free Resources: If your child needs a winter coat, or a backpack with school supplies, or a backpack with food for the weekend, please contact our school counselor Jennifer Scremin jscremin@sanford.org or call her at 207-608-8769 please.
Wednesday Lunches: Wednesday lunches are available for parent pick up for CJL students only at CJL's lobby on Wednesdays at 11:00am. Please order online in advance. Our school website is www.sanford.org.
It's Important to Stay Connected, Here's How: It's important that you stay connected with your child's school, especially in a pandemic. Please call the school by 8:30am, if your son or daughter needs to be out sick 324-8481. If you need assistance with wifi, please call the school 324-8481 or email remotesupport@sanford.org. Please join your child's teacher's Bloomz or Class Dojo Accounts, plus their SeeSaw or Google Classroom Accounts and check in daily. Email your child's teacher for more information. Please keep the school informed of any changes to your physical address, telephone numbers, email addresses, changes in health, and please provide us with updated court documents as needed.
