Regional Fine Arts

On March 3rd, seven Sanford High School students showcased their talents at  Regional Fine Arts Share Day, held at Biddeford High School.  They joined other oil painters, jazz musicians, vocalists, dancers, and actors from Massabesic, Bonny Eagle, and Biddeford for this celebratory event.

Representing SHS were: Aberdeen Brickett, Emma-Jeanne Dudley, Eryn Dudley, Alexis Sloan, Mariette Waterhouse, Paige Wilson.  Eleven other students traveled to the event to support their peers.

The York County Regional Fine Arts Program is sponsored by the Biddeford School Department and is designed to offer advanced Fine Arts courses to high school students that are not typically offered in the regular high school curriculum. RFA is an opportunity for students to get insight and instruction from a practicing professional who makes his/her livelihood in the discipline.  On the annual Share Day, students choose an artifact to represent the work they have completed over the course of the program.
