Read Across America Celebrated in Mrs. Allaire's Class!

Last Friday was such a fun day!! Monday was Read Across America Day— a day celebrated in schools across the country commemorating Dr. Seuss’ birthday and the importance of having a literacy-filled life. Our class celebrated early since our school had our Annual Health Fair on Monday.
To surprise the students, I invited special members of our school community to come and read to our class. We were visited by Mrs. Scremin- our school counselor, Ms. Leet- our assistant principal, Mrs. Baron- our principal, Mr. Nelson- our superintendent, and Mr. Bussiere- our assistant superintendent! We are so fortunate that these amazing people took time out of their busy schedules to come visit us.
In between their visits we read other books together and completed some fun literacy activities. Such an incredible day— always one of our favorites of the year!
