In order to alleviate traffic after school each day at Sanford High School, we changed the direction on the bus loop so the buses will have an easier time getting to the Route 4 exit at the end of the day.
What this means to those who drive to or from the High School during the day:
- No effect for auto traffic on the bus loop as that is for buses only. Do Not Enter signs are present.
- Please do not block the entrance to the bus loop or Alumni Boulevard as there is no parking on that road.
- When at the 3 - way stop near Alumni Stadium, please yield for the buses (there is signage present) during our 2:20pm dismissal (1:20 on Wednesdays).
- We ask that all auto traffic picking up students and student traffic at the end of the day to exit out the Main Street exit. Please note: if you travel down to the Route 4 exit, that is right turn only from 7:00am to 3:00pm during school days.
A tip for those of you that pick up students at the High School in the afternoon, arriving at the High School after 2:25 makes the pick up quick and easy as most of the traffic has moved out of the Drop-Off area and Visitor Parking.
