Valerie receiving her award at the JMG conference.

Sanford's JMG students totally rocked it at the state-wide JMG conference. Our students attended this conference along with a majority of high school students. there were over 300 students in attendance and only about 40 middle school students. I am so proud to say that our students were often recognized as one of the most participatory and positive students there.

And even BIGGER news.... Each year, MYAN awards one group and one individual with the "Catalyst for Change" award. These awards are given to those that consistently work to improve the world around them, encourages others to do the same, and sets a positive example for the youth around them.

Out of over 300 students, our own Valerie Randall was the individual to receive the "Catalyst for Change" award this year for her work in the community, with JMG and within her school. This is the first time a Sanford student has been recognized in this way - and I am SO proud of her!
